i have 32.1 and its pretty nice and i did have a chance to drive the '07 model (prior to its release in late '06) and yes the throttle response is different.. but it is a lot "smoother....
but from my understanding when the Integration level is updated all applicable software is brought to the current level also
that why i hesitate when thinking of taking the car in for issues -- it runs good as it is..

you are correct about all modules being upgraded together. however, DIS does not do this, it was originally done by progman, and is now done by the new ISTA/P system.
