It's interesting that Remus is using the more traditional construction methods on the system shown for the 335i. They use a rolled lock seam for the shell and rolled lock seams on the end plates.
I'm curious as to which grade 304 they have in their system. If it is a higher carbon plain vanilla 304 then the crimped construction could be better from an IGA point of view. However, the welds around the tips would still be susceptible to IGA.
