Your salesman is pretty much right, you don't need to worry about it, as DSC is permanetly on.
That said you can turn the DSC off and turn DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) on for a bit more fun by thouching the DSC button on your centre console. You can completely disable DSC & DTC by holding the same button down for around 10s, this leaves you with a car with no traction & stability control, so if your planning on throwing the back out through a few bends you would want to be well awake.
