El Con is a great hotel with beautiful views and descent rooms. However the beach is a boat ride away to a beautiful private island so you sort of have to plan to be there for a while. It also is an hour from San Juan, so not very convenient to the big city.
In San Juan, I would recommend La Concha Hotel.
