I have a similiar problem but i have no sound at all.
but get the SOS error also.
I tried taking off battery terminals overnight and it was no help.
Im taking mine to dealer tomorrow, i got no other options.
Where is this fiber optic connector at?
FYI, I have a 335i coupe
