My car is now at 10,500 miles. Since I had not changed oil since I got the car, I feel that it is not as smooth as before.... should I spent $70 to change oil now, or wait for another 4,500 miles for the free oil change ?

If I change now, the free oil change becomes kind of redundant, isn't it ? since the oil will only be used for about 4500 miles.
