Yes, it should hold ok - from what I understand, you can actually patch an engine block/cylinder head crack with that stuff as long as you clean and prepare the surfaces as best you can and mix the stuff proportionately. It's worked well for me when my son and I were fixing up his old Honda and Acura drive-to-school cars.
