Sirius Question: New HU?
2010 Stereo with Sat Prep: Instead of buying the Sirius module or using some type of third-party receiver, could I just buy a used head unit from ebay/boneyard - perhaps one from 2011 + with the satellite receiver integrated into the HU? I've seen them sell for between $200 and $300.
If that's a viable option, what else would I need to do? Run the cable for the satellite antenna from the HU to the sharkfin? Have the new HU recoded?
Also, if I get one that's from a Hi-Fi or Logic7 stereo, would I still have a need for the JL Cleansweep? If I can return or sell that it would pay for the newer HU.
