I'd have to respectfully disagree with you on that. The 1M was built on a tight timeline using what was in the parts-bin. For the Z4 M, I would be surprised if it were less than 400hp, and it could very well be 450hp+ as is expected for the M3. Just like the engine for the F10 M5 debuted in other M vehicles first, the next M3 engine could very easily appear first in the X3 M or Z4 M. Expect an M-massaged "S55" or if BMW debuts a new "N56" (or some other name) regular series I6 engine soon, then "S56" instead.
