How?
HiFi cars had a nice balanced output, unprocessed.
Base audio has deck power, equalized for a tweeterless system, and crossover filtered on the rear channels. Much bigger PITA to upgrade.
By the way, doesn't the base audio on the E90 come with tweeter grilles in the mirror sail positions, with no tweeters inside?
