Hey Gary thanks for starting this thread. I think I share a similar view on tracking. I am not comfortable with the idea of tracking my only car. Moreover, tracking in my opinion is more about suspension setup, tires, and weight than about power, as I get the most satisfaction from being able to drive around corners fast. So, in this regard, the perfect track car for me would be a used miata on coilovers, urethane bushings, good tires, and stripped of all its excess weight.
