Land Rover, BMW and a bunch of other manufacturers use ZF transmissions in their cars.
ZF *only* recommends their LifeGuard tranny oil in their transmissions. All the OEMs buy their fluid from ZF and put it in their OEM branded bottles.
One of the best places to get oil, pan, filters etc for ZF transmissions is
www.thectsc.com. Alot of times you can get a complete kit from them for alot less than a dealer for BMW OEM parts outlet (like Tischer).
I believe the 335i uses the 6HP21 (6HP19TU) transmission.
