its under the console on the right hand side. half is attached to the black plastic rim with P-R-N-D on it. (I am pretty sure). and the other half is all wires going down into the gear box.

did you replace the plastic rim as well? because if the P-R-N-D is not there... im pretty sure you need that in order for DS to engage. dont quote me on the though.

My problem was the small clip I am talking about was disconnected when I installed the sun glass holder, and it wouldnt engage in DS. then when I went back and connected it, it worked completely fine.
