I was thinking of a good lacation to mount such a unit if I decided to not go the BMW OEM route. That's a great location you picked. Thanks for the pics and info ! My only question is how is the reception with the antenna mounted inside the vehicle ? In my Mustang GT I had an issue when I put it inside the car like you did.
