I downshift through the gears to 2nd then brake
I downshift through the gears to 2nd then brake the rest of the way .
Usually the brake starts at 20 to 15 mph or as necessary.
When I downshift I don't use heavy Engine breaking usually it doesn't
pop up over 4k .
I have done this in every manual car I ever had the clutchs always last
about 125 to 150k I think that is pretty normal.
