I just ordered mine yesterday so I can't comment on it yet. I have heard good things about the BMW PE and the price is the lowest I have found in about a month of surfing the web.
As far as the other exhausts, I'm new to modding BMW's and don't know that much about them. The only other mod I'm doing is the BMW Performance Power Kit and only because I found it for $450, retail is $800.
The PPK adds 20hp & 32ft/tq and it doesn't void the warranty.
