I just repaired mine last week. My passenger side would go out and flicker. I used an oscillating tool to cut a section out of the back side of the tail lamp assembly to gain acess to the small LED circuit board. The culprit was a cold solder joint on small 8 pin surface mount IC. I re-soldered it and sealed it back up and it has been working great ever since. I guess I should have taken some pictures of it.
