Few days ago I went through every single available BMW SIB for the M57Y, not a single one of them was to address the soot/carbon build up. There were SIBs for DDE replacement. Only one remotely related was EGR vavle update, since the old vavle was prone to sticking from carbon build up.

Either the 335d issue is not "big enough" yet, or BMW NA is not taking an active role since the market for the 335d is relatively small. However they (BMW ENGINEERING) are fully aware of the common issues with the 335d. Regardless, if they don't start to acknowledge this, they can say good bye to the diesel market in the US. Audi and MB make fantastic diesels now.
