My Diy Wheel Bearing Install Has Left Me With Another Problem!!!

So after I had some help installing a new rear wheel bearing on my 07' 328xi the proverbial ABS, brake, & 4x4 lghts all came on. If I remember correctly, these lights came on immediately when the car was started which I am hoping means the bearing was not put in backwards. I did much research including having the dealer run the diagnostic which came back as a bad wheel speed sensor. I found it hard to believe that some how it was damaged during the bearing install because the sensor removal/install seemed so simplistic (just a hex bolt and the sensor slides into the opening).... I did remove again and cleaned just as precaution but to no avail. I got the part & hope to install the new sensor today.

Has anyone had this happen to them after a bearing install? Could we have messed something up with the axle or created another problem elsewhere triggering the sensor??? I am skeptical replacing the sensor will resolve my issue but remain hopeful. I feel like I maybe chasing the issue...
