For me since a coupe brings with it signifcant compromises mostly around not having rear doors, it is more appropriate to make the coupe the less compromised sporting variant in the range.
However, the styling is for me more prissy rather aggressive and the weight gain unacceptable for a car that is already no lightweight.
If you are an enthusiast driver, what incentive is there to choose the more expensive coupe over the lighter 335i E90?
