Had that happen to a buddy's e36 m3 on a fun saturday drive. We were stranded on the side of the road. Guess what......the big old washers the state dept of transportation uses to hold on the guard rails.....worked perfectly. Removed one from the guardrail bolt, installed on the shock. Bingo back in business.
