I noticed the same thing when I got my 330i - much heavier steering than my previous A4 (I'd even forked out for some fancy feature to make it speed sensitive 'cos the dealer reckoned it would be easier to sell on - what BS that turned out to be) - however now I'm used to it I much prefer it - and the feedback it gives.
