sounds similar to me but i drive a less powerful car. The higher up i went the cheaper it was to insure. Had a compact where i was named driver paid 3K. didn't even do a year just 10 months and then got my current car. When doing quotes it was cheaper getting insurance on an e93 than any other bmws model even my compact. M sport made it even cheaper but highline made a bump in premium. Anyway I'm with elephant and pay 900 for the year call them up again and talk it through. The rarer the car in the age group the less the insurance as there are no risk statistics. so it is based more neutrally. Also due to a recent ruling all comparison websites have to do the same price now no special offers. Good luck car looks great if i could of justified spending the extra cash i would of held out for a 335i or D
