Welcome to fun and games with Admiral group, which Elephant is part of. The other day, they randomly slapped a £30 charge on my card with an accompanying email saying it was for "undeclared modifications" and to call them on their premium rate number for details. After the usual long hold, they explained it was because I'd not declared my tinted windows. Which I don't have. They said I'd ran a quote through confused.com with tinted windows, they found the quote so charged me. I had ran the quote, just to see how much it would cost, but hadn't actually had the work done. I then had to write them a "declaration" saying I didn't have tints to get them to drop the charge.

Could they just have called me to check? Of course, but then no premium rate phone call, etc.

You get what you pay for, there's a reason they are cheap.
