This is a good point who choose a car only based on listed MPG. So many factors that influence this. Many people have posted they did not get an m3 in the past due to MPG but I knew with past experience of owning an I6 bimmer that any kind of city or aggressive driving and you kill the mileage and 15-18 is right in the range my old I6 did in the city or any kind of fun driving.

My m3 gets 14 city and 16 combined. 25 freewway. So the real benefit in the 328/335 is highway cruising if you can keep your foot off the gas but if you are someone who really likes to run the car or you never see much of the highway, there is really no difference.

MPG listed is just tricky by manufactuers and testers
