Please provide their phone numbers. This wasn't a sales pitch from BMW San Francisco - this was from a dealer in Austin and another dealer in one of the Dakota's (or somewhere on the east coast) - both dealers were recommended by other members in the warranty section of the forum. Maybe this clarification helps - they said verbatim, if your car is registered in CA, we cannot sell to you. I'm not sure why two dealers who just (supposedly) sold platinum warranties to others on the forum would reject me, both with the same excuse...
