Wonder those who replace OEM pads with ebc redstuff get permanent fix on the clicking noise. My 2010 335i coupe (with M3 package) has the same noise with froward/backward braking. I spoke to my local BMW dealer shop foreman and he told me that he would use after market pad like ebc for in-warranty car like mine. Also, he told me that this is normal with floating caliper on all BMW models even with the latest 135 which has fixed caliper. He also said that any lube and/or pad replacement may help initially because they are tighter. Once lube & new pads start wearing off, the clicking noise will return. I laster mentioned to him that my sold '07 328i coupe never had such issue. He simply said that it has smaller & different brake pad. At this moment, I am at a loss given his response.
