I had more problems than I can remember with my 2008 335xi Sedan. I bought it used with 15k miles CPO. I was back at the dealer 3 days I got the car, then a week later, then 3 weeks later... This continued, and I was in the shop about 5-6 times per month. (every time different problems, electronics, suspension, and motor)
(Note: This car was completely stock, except for tint)
I added up all my service bills, they totaled a whopping $17K, LUCKILY most of it was covered under CPO. I only forked over about $2200. It was more of a inconvenience for me to take the car to the shop (45min away.)
I gave up on her at the 11 month mark after contacting BMW NA.
I bought a new 2011 335i xdrive Sedan, put 35k miles on it with no problems at all. I was only at the dealer for regular maintenance.
Then I traded her in for a 2012 335is Coupe, 5k miles and I have only been back to the dealer for an oil change.
Buying new FTW!
