He wouldn't be able to trip the front's to indicate yellow. They would be red if they need to be replaced (meaning the sensor was tripped). The computer gives a recommendation of replacement based on miles. I believe its 60k miles or so.

How many miles do you have?

I replaced pads and rotors at 71k miles.
