There is a way to keep it off your record.
For my ticket I went to the Courthouse annex place off 35 and asked if I could have "deferred adjudication." They let me. I had to pay the ticket plus court costs and take the defensive driving class. Then if you go 90 days w/o another violation they dismiss the ticket. It costs more than a first ticket, but you can keep a second ticket off your record.
Hopefully they don't give you a problem with being 25 mph over the limit.
