Hi,

I am new on here so apologies for this being my first post. I do love the car btw.

I bought my 2008 325 privately in June this year but before buying I got BMW to inspect it. They found no problems what-so-ever but the car is just over 3 years old so out of warranty. The car has the 19" 225s with the Bridgestone runflats.

Ever since June I have had the usual symptoms with the cracked alloy - constant deflation of the front tyre. To my shame I have ignored it until last week. I have only done 2000 miles since owning the car.

I took it into Scothall BMW last week and suprise, suprise, 3 cracked alloys and 3 new tyres needed and they wanted £2700 to replace them.

My chances of getting BMW to replace them free of charge look slim Has anyone considered ditching the 19" and replacing them with 17" wheels? Better profile and more suitable to the UKs potted roads?
