Coming from a guy that's traded in a fair share of vehicles before finally settling on the one I've got, I'd recommend keeping your car. You've put so much money in to it and it seems like it hasn't done you wrong.

It's a very fun car to drive and jumping to an X5 sounds like an odd choice almost unless you really want/need the utility that vehicle has to offer.

Don't trade in a car just because an opportunity presents itself. I've done that and it's come back to bite me. Trade in your car only if you really want to get in to the new vehicle you're trading it in for.

Not trying to tell you what to do, but that's how my thought process would go after having been in your situation plenty of times before.
