Maybe not. I believe you have to have SOME sort of nexus to the "out of state" state in order to register your car there, i.e. military, domicile, etc. before you cam register there. Otherwise, I'd have ALL of my cars registered in FL (as I used to be able to do in the Navy) and pay (at the time) NO sales tax!
