This is recommended fitment by Volk for LCI models. You are correct that due to "flush" fab, it looks better - but this is where spacers can be used!
Also, even though I have 265 on the back - you can fit 285 on with no problems at this offset! With +35 or +22 (the other 2 options offered by Volk) you wouldn't be able to "properly" fit 285 w/o some modifications.
