Thanks for this DIY. Just did the "budget ssk", aka just the shift lever and bearing. I actually ordered a new circlip too, but didn't like the design of the new one...more of a pain to get on and off, so I just re-used the old one, as it was perfectly fine.

Couple quick comments on the DIY. There were FIVE hex head screws on my plastic shield that I had to remove to drop it, not four. Also, to bend back the heatshield, it's kind of obvious, but it helps to remove the 10 mm metal retainer "nut" and the 13 mm bolt, both holding up the end of the heat shield. It bends back nicely after those are removed.

One other thing that confuses me about this DIY...it's technically for the true 335 ssk, which INCLUDES the shift arm as well as the lever, correct? Yet the DIY doesn't address the whole arm install part.
