Just a heads up. I tried using an eBay and an Amazon cable, both clear cable, clear housing, white PCB. Both did not show black dot in Ignition until I did the 7/8 pin mod. Both would NOT WORK on my 2009 e90 LCI 335 (with or without the mod), the cable could not read any modules or complete airbag test. Did extensive testing and tried on a known working INPA laptop. Bought the one-stop cable and immediately works. Should've bought it from the beginning, but thought I could make the other ones work and didn't want to wait for shipping (Amazon was prime). Just thought I'd let everyone know my experience.
Anyone using one of the cheaper eBay cables without problems let us know which one you bought.
