Don't have the roof bars fitted.
The noise comes from the base of the wind screen and sounds like when you blow through tissue paper wrapped round a comb.
The wipers seem more "prone" than on my old MK V GTI.
I can't think what else would cause it. It's not engine revs as it would happen at other speeds.
