I figured it out, this BMW I will own (yes, it was ordered yesterday
) is actually from Jan 2007, and it seems that they updated this detail. I guess they figured it was redundant to have it in the 2 places.
All from 2007-2008 (before the new I-drive with all the shortcuts) have it this way.
I had been primarly looking at 2006 models, so I was surprised when I saw that it was missing that button.
I am glad all the functionality is still there
