red ring of death is cause by overheat of the cpu
the new elites uses a diff. cpu which produces less heat
it also have a diff. heat sinker

I have the 360 Premium 20gbb hdd and it comes with HDMI as well... 
my 360 isn't that loud....hmm maybe you guys have sensitive ears or something? dunno...i'm playing with 6.1 surround speakers...so that may be a factor... |
