Ok, so I had my HPFP replaced in August 2012 under CPO and looking at the receipt there is no mentioning of the fuel injectors being replaced. My car has a production date of 08/01/07. I realize the production date of the car and the engine may vary, but my car production falls under the date I coped from the link above: "with the N54 engine produced from 04/02/2007 through 10/31/2008".
My question is, does it appear that my car would qualify under this recall? If so, would the FIs have to fail for BMW to replace them, or can I just bring the car in and request them to be changed under the recall?
