Another clutch thread - 335is upgrade?

Hi all,

Just had some clutch slip this past weekend with 3 people and luggage in the car. Been reading the reviews on the ACT, Spec, and HPF clutches.

BUT, what about the 335is clutch? BMW part number 21 20 7 603 248, retails for $460. It is different from the early 335i clutch, part number 21 20 7 567 623, $490 retail. Also different is the 1M clutch, 21 21 7 603 250, $460 retail.

The N54T engine (1M, 335is) uses a 6-bolt flywheel. Will that make a difference in which clutch fits? If the 'is' or 1M clutch fits, anyone think that will be a good upgrade? I am not interested in drag racing, just street driveability and road course use (not hard on the clutch), and I am planning on upgrading to the FlexFuel setup.

Any advice is welcome.
