yip, as beauderek pointed out in his shdowline trim swap thread, if you're really careful, it's possible to not bend it.

I will not spill the bean because everyone will hate me when they attempt this and bend it. It is possible but you got to be very patient with it when putting it on. As said, removing is not a problem as with everything else on the car.
