Bummer, but I would still tryBurger. Maybe at the very least they can repair it for you. Are there any loose wire connections on the harnesses or cracked solder-points on the chip (you have to look really close for these)?

here. These were bad solder points from theMazda factory. To give you some idea of the size, each of the three dots in the last pic (entire circle) is less than a M&M in diameter...so look very closely.
