Unlike the earlier models, the current P3 gauges provide more info than boost (timing, egt, iat, coolant temp., etc.) and must remain plugged into the OBDII port.

However, I regularly unplug it to use the port for other purposes and have never had any difficulty doing so.

Not sure why the other poster finds it a PITA.
