I freely admit to hijacking the forum, but I'm a frequent visitor as my last car was an E92 and there's a much larger UK following here.
My F10 doesn't have the ststem as it wasn't available at the time, but I will be ordering it for my next car and I'll be very surprised if it isn't an option on the new F30 3 series.
It's only around £250 and, IMO, one of the more reasonably priced options - what you see on-screen is a plan view of all 4 wheels along with the actual press/temp figures - perfect for obsessive compulsive people like me!
As to how it works, I don't know, obviously they can't be electrically powered, but I imagine that they're interrogated by a constant send/receive loop from the car's computer.
