I'm shopping for an extended warranty program for my '08 335i, and in addition to the BMW extended vehicle protection programs available from the dealer, my independent shop (which doesn't sell warranty contracts themselves) recommended either Zurich or AUL, saying they had never had an issue with either of them haggling over warranty repairs, unlike a number of the other companies. And, of course, I could take my car to my favorite shop, rather than hassling with the dealers as required with the BMW plans.

Any experiences, horror stories, whatever?
