I haven't done it, but it's possible. Depends on the wheel, how much of it can be shaved off if any. Like my my Apex arc8 you can't shave them at all, because it's so thin around bolt holes.

A wheel repair shop once told me that, there needs to be minimum off 4mm straight hole after the cone part of the bolt holes.Hope you understand what i mean it's hard to explain.

Down sides is possibility to weaken the wheels and maybe cracking the wheel more easily.

If you are going to do this. Make sure that the company has done it before and knows what they are doing.
