So far so good with the windows, so I am actually really glad I had that fixed. Problem seemed to be errors when applying the fix.
I have the same thing with the remote (before and after the fix). I have to be within maybe 3-5 feet max. Sometime I actually have to be close enough to touch the car before the fob will open or close the top.
