there are tons of threads out there asking the same question, long story short it depends on the dealer. Some will deny warranty work for an axle back, some will happily work on FBO cars. Any time you mod, you are violating the terms of the warranty, and bmw is well within their rights to deny warranty work. Some argue that the mod must be directly responsible for any damage before warrantt is denied, but ive nevef bought that line of reasoning. You mod, you assume the risk. Outside of removing my tune and dci before taking it in my dealership has been accomodating, theyve worked under the car with no mention of the 7" FMIC, and were reasonable about the dci (they politely asked me to remove it before they did the work under cpo).
