Called my insurance company today. Limit on spare automotive parts under my homeowner insurance is only $1000. So I only get $1000 back for what is worth about $3000 - $5000 replacement value. Sigh. Plus I lose my no claims discount. What a pain in the behind.

I asked the agent if it was possible to make an exclusion in my policy to increase the limit to cover more expensive rims. Not allowed with my insurance company. Apparently that is pretty common with a lot of homeowner policies. I would recommend everyone to review their insurance policy and the exclusions/limits. Especially if you keep expensive auto parts in your garage. You may only get $1000 back if you lose your set of rims/tires.
